The Good Channel

August/september 2026

Discover stories of progress, new ideas and solutions to some of the world’s biggest challenges.

The Good Channel is a public installation created by A Circular Design Studio that gives more space to these stories. Not to look away from the problems we face, but to offer a more nuanced and up-to-date view of the world curated by Verdens Bedste Nyheder.

Conflict and crisis dominate much of the news we consume. For young people in particular, a constant stream of crises can make the future feel overwhelming. But the world is also full of progress, new ideas and people finding solutions to some of our biggest challenges. These stories simply receive far less attention. But when we also hear about what is already working, it becomes easier to imagine that change is possible and that we can all play a part in making it happen. The stories we are exposed to shape how we see the world and how we imagine the future. We believe that nuanced knowledge can create hope, and that hope can motivate action.

Event calendar

August/september 2026

Its not just an installation - Its also an analogue meeting place, for your event.

The Good Channel is designed so it can open up and become more than an installation. It becomes a place to step into and gather around. It can be the home of talks, events and conversations, which turns the installation into a shared meeting place. Here, news becomes something we can experience together, talk about and perhaps see the world from a more hopeful perspective.

Below you can find all of the events scheduled for august and september 2026. Most events are public and free but some requires a ticket and you will find a link for that if necessary.

Do you want to host an event or should we bring The Good Channel to you? Contact os below for any questions.

Why a TV?

For generations, television has been a window to the world and a place where we gather around the news. Now, a giant TV stands in the middle of public space.

There is no bluelight screen or endless stream of breaking news. Instead, you will find an analogue news channel with printed stories that invite you to pause, take your time and engage with what you are reading.

The TV has been scaled up so it becomes more than something to look at. It becomes a place to step into and gather around. The sofa in front of the screen, together with talks, events and conversations, turns the installation into a shared meeting place. Here, news becomes something we can experience together, talk about and perhaps see the world from a more hopeful perspective.

The installation is made from 100% recycled plastic and reclaimed wood. Materials that have already had a life are given a new form and purpose. The plastic comes partly from a local factory in North Zealand and partly from ocean plastic collected along the Danish west coast by A Circular Design Studio. The wood comes from a construction site in Hillerød and was collected by NCC. The choice of materials supports The Good Channel’s focus on progress and solutions, showing in a very tangible way how we can rethink and make better use of the resources we already have.

Velkommen i skoven

Samarbejde: Hartmut Stockter

Kunde: Hvidovre Hospitals nye børneafdeling.

Årstal: 2024

Projekt: Installation

Paris Design Week

Samarbejde: Maison Du Danemark, Creative Denmark, VisitDenmark

1/2 Ton Of Waste Re-Imagined

Årstal: 2024

Projekt: Solo udstilling
